Here is Gene, with his best catch in our group so far. On the left is a 39.5 inch, 14.5lb Northern Pike, he caught off the dock at Butternut-Cove Cabins. Usually every night when we get back from fishing on the lake, some of us throw a pole out for a couple of hours to see if we can get any hits, well Gene did just that, and what a nice fish.
Oh yes, one year I was unloading my boat at the public launch here and Gene was guiding my boat into the water. Well it was dark that night and he was using a flash light to see, so he stuck the light in his back pocket and grabbed the guide rope on the dock. He started to walk backwards and before you know it, there was a splash and I looked into the water and all I saw was a light from beneath the water shinning. Sure enough it was Gene in for a late night dip, brrrrrr!!!

clock with him, he's up and ready to go at the crack of dawn.
Well there is always something funny going on in our crew every
year. Never a dull moment.
