BAIT'S BAY TIPS



You can come to this area, that we have named Bait Bay, if you are not interested in spending all your vacation money on shinners. Either you can use a bait casting net, or a ultra light rod to catch these good pike bait. We typically use the rod with a hair jig and maggot.

Sometimes we just use a maggot. The bay is loaded with weeds and brush, and deep into the shallows near the back trees is loaded with shinners.

Now through out the day this area also produces a mass amount of crappie and bluegills, or all panfish. You will also find alot pike moving in and out of here. Most of them tend to hang out towards the opening of the bay however.
